Dr. Ram Chandra Maji

Dr. Ram Chandra Maji was born in 1987 in Marlu, Bankura, West Bengal, India. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Bankura Christian College, West Bengal, and earned his Master’s degree in 2011 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK). He obtained his PhD in 2017 from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur. From 2017 to 2019, he served as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (N-PDF) at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. Since July 2019, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Bankura University, West Bengal, India. He is currently focused on modeling the active sites of metal-containing enzymes (Bio-Inorganic Chemistry), small molecule activation (Catalysis), synthesis of light-harvesting metal complexes, Electrochemistry and metal-based fluorescent probes (sensors) for environmentally concerned analytes. His 12 research works published in international reputed journals, such as Inorganic Chemistry (ACS publication, IF: 4.850), Chemical Communications (Publisher: Royal Society of Chemistry, IF: 5.996), Angewandte Chemie International Edition (Publisher: Germany, Wiley-VCH, IF: 12.959), and Dalton Transactions (Publisher: Royal Society of Chemistry, IF: 4.052), ACS Appl. Nano Mater.(ACS publication, IF: 5.90)
